Waiting For Fireworks

This week, July 3-9, 2015, the FB Square One Group focus pattern is Munchin.  I wasn't sure how this was going to end up - at first it looked like it was going to be a compass rose, but I kept going, blackening sections, adding embellishments, shading, and ended up with this ~ I'm calling it Waiting For Fireworks, since it was completed and being posted the afternoon of July 4th.  The patterns are munchkin, with a few Thing In The Middles and some Aahs.

And because I like the Marble App ...

Of course it wouldn't be July 4th without a little red, white, and blue... This tile is for the Diane and Carolien's Alphabet Challenge #13 focus Y - H - A.  The patterns I used (new to me) were Yah (You Are Here - I like that!); Half Onion, Hypnotic; (and ones I am familiar with) Antidote and Aah.  This was done on navy blue cardstock with white Gelly Roll pen, white charcoal pencil, and a touch of red Glaze Pen (which I just got and had to try out!)

This sort of looks like fireworks being shot up into the sky with all the hypnotic faces watching from the ground.  I'm dedicating this one to my older son who spent all day yesterday and today setting up one of the local public firework displays, giving up his holiday so others could enjoy...
