ZIA = Zentangled Inspired Art

These are pieces / projects I have created after starting classes. Some are followups to the classes, some from various inspiring, ah-ha moments, some as requests... There is no smooth surface that is safe around my house anymore!

These were after the hummingbird class May 20 and May 22, 2015   3 1/2" X 3 1/2" tiles Micron pens; shading with graphite pencil

Next I Decided to try a larger piece ... this took a few days, mainly because I needed to find the best patterns to use on the different areas to represent the features of the car...

A lonnggg-time friend, all the way back to high school, saw my the seahorse above, on FB, and loved it.  I decided to surprise her with one - here is the result:  a 5X7 on tan paper (the color washed out in the photo) using black and brown Micron pens, white gel pen; shaded with graphite pencil and highlighted with white charcoal pencil.  (I used some of the same "water" plants that I used on the turtle - they are fun I think!)  Hope she likes it when the surprise arrives in the mail!
